CABIN 1 photo (4)

View of log cabin from the river

With Labor Day quickly approaching it seems like summer just started. And it is “back to school” time already? Really? When I was a child, school started after Labor Day. Feeling a little bit nostalgic, I am sharing a photo of where I spent my summers as a child, skipping rocks in the river, gathering pine cones, building forts of grass and sticks, digging for worms on the riverbank to hang on a hook with hopes of attracting a trout swimming by it. With so many great memories with family and friends at our cabin, I am fortunate to say that this place is still in the family, three generations later, and still enjoying time here with family and friends.

Fishing time

Fishing time

I have recently  initialized my first website! This is very exciting  as I am gearing up for Fall, which is just around the corner. In between enjoying a lovely summer with friends and family, I have been studying with a computer trainer, Ken, who is leading me through some personal and professional technical advancement. Kind of like going to summer school.

I am sharing one of my favorite summer places, the river in front of my cabin on forest service property that my grandfather built in the 1930’s. Today I share it along with my two brothers and their families. A very peaceful place situated on the Upper Truckee River near South Lake Tahoe. Nice walks, hikes, fishing or just sitting on the porch and reading. Just returned from another visit.
