I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area where I continue living today. My first 15 years I lived in Oakland and then onto Lafayette where I graduated from Acalanes High School. After spending a summer in Europe I attended the University of Nevada at Reno where I enjoyed skiing and eventually graduated with a degree in Journalism.
In San Francisco I started my career in Graphic Communications. As the first project manager for the international design consultancy, Pentagam. I learned about the business of graphic design with a major focus on editorial design and working closely with a founding partner there. After many years, I went to work for one of our favorite clients, Simpson Paper, where I was in marketing developing and launching new text and cover paper lines, including all promotions. I had the pleasure of hiring and working with some of the best graphic designers, writers and printers in the country.
Eventually, I went into specification sales for another leading paper manufacturing company, Potlatch, where my focus was on designers, printers and paper distributors to influence their paper purchases at the corporate level.
Having worked closely as customer with some of the best commercial printers I decided to go into outside sales and worked with two top commercial printers. Today, I am actively looking for my next chapter, using my combined experience and skills within the graphic communications industry.
